The textbooks I have used for my various science classes are excellent, SECULAR (Non-Christian) resources providing some of the finest overviews of "operational/observational" biological science available today. However, being SECULAR (Non-Christian) textbooks, their presentation of "historical/origins" science presents an atheistic, macroevolutionary worldview. This is actually good, since it allows our students the opportunity to exercise logikos, critical thinking while evaluating the evidence for a macroevolutionary vs. a creation worldview of life origins. To facilitate this critical thinking, we integrate research from world renowned scientists that are also courageously biblical, Christian/Creationists standing against censorship and peer-pressure persecution to speak the truth about our Creator and His Good Shepherd character.  They include:

So, relax and don't worry, because we will start slowly and give you plenty of time the first week to get things together and your mind settled :-)
* Also, since many students do not have iPads yet, we will be using mostly paper copies of documents the first couple of weeks.

2. It's ALSO wise to Download notes and guides to your iPad and your home PC.
- You can also print them into paper copies at HOME if that helps.

READ through
them thoroughly a couple of times.
* To find answers to a specific term/concept/diagram:
- Open on your iPad or computer the CHAPTER NOTES for that unit.
- When the correct Chapter Notes are OPEN on your PC or iPad,
use the FIND command to locate each time a term is used in those notes.

STUDENTS, read my personal note below about the theology of science:

The two main languages of science are LOGIC & MATH.
Science is the study of the physical world, using logic and mathematics.
The LAWS of logic, math, and science are not something we created.
They were built into the universe and we merely discovered them.
They are non-physical realities that exist independent of the physical world.
These non-physical LAWS came from a non-physical LAW-MAKER, GOD.
They are non-physical information from the intelligence of God that guide the formation and function of all physical interactions of both living and non-living things in CREATION.
Remember that the Bible calls JESUS, the LOGOS, who created all things. The term LOGOS means logical information, INFO. It is often translated as WORD. God's Word spoke into existence all things, and is guiding all things to the end of history (His-story).
Since He is the LAW-MAKER, the JUDGE, the END of history will be JUDGMENT. GOOD NEWS, CHRIST our Logos Creator is a perfectly GOOD SHEPHERD who loves you and did all that is necessary for the sins that separate you from Him to be forgiven and transformed into His image and character.
- He LIVED the perfect life of unselfish love that you cannot live.
- He DIED on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin which is separation from God the Father of Life.
- He ROSE from death to prove who He is, the I AM (YHWH) Creator, the author and designer of life eternal.
Only by accepting what He did for you and submitting to Him as your LORD, BOSS, can you be worthy to enter into His pure and perfect Kingdom to come, the New Heavens and New Earth. You cannot make yourself good ENOUGH, no matter how hard you try. Only Christ the Good Shepherd Creator can make you a NEW CREATION with His CHARACTER/IMAGE.

As we continue to study God's WORLD (Science) in light of His WORD (Theology), I encourage you seek EVIDENCE for any QUESTIONS or doubts you may have. There are 1,000's of PhD scientists who have demonstrated evidence that supports a worldview that includes:

- creation only thousands of years ago
- a literal Adam and Eve and original Garden of Eden with no sin, violence, or suffering and death among humans or nephesh animals
- a real fall through sin that caused separation, survival of the fittest horrors, and suffering to infect creation
- a later global flood and real Ark and family of Noah from which all modern people are descendants
- a real Tower of Babel dispersion from which all modern people are descendants
- the chosen nation of Israel through which God revealed Himself by prophets and then personally as Messiah Jesus, Immanuel (God with us)

QUESTIONS?
Over the years, we've had a number of wonderful parents who knew about "evolution", but they did not understand that MICRO-evolution and MACRO-evolution are the Opposite processes. Some of these parents even had science degrees and worked in science vocations. I too, along with many science professors I've known, was blind to this crucial reality.

Scripture and science support MICRO-evolution.
Neither Scripture or true science support MACRO-evolution. We've had parents who doubted the existence of dinosaurs. Others doubted the historical reality of Adam, or the Ark, or the virgin birth and resurrection of Jesus.

MORE ABOUT THE THEOLOGY OF SCIENCE:

Science in Light of Scripture: GENESIS 1:24-25
* The modern classification system has 7 Levels:
Kingdom-Phylum-Class-Order-Family-Genus-Species
* The biblical Hebrew term "MIN" is translated as "KINDS".

- It refers to a category of creatures that can breed together.
- "Min" or "kinds" is equal to the modern classification level of bigger than species and even bigger than genus. It refers to the modern level of "family".

Remember that NOAH was commanded to take a ONLY male and a female of every NOSTRIL breathing creature onto the ARK. So that means he took ONLY TWO of every LAND VERTEBRATE KIND at the FAMILY level.
- That is LESS THAN 10,000 animals, which would easily have fit in ONLY ONE-THIRD of the Ark's 1.5 million cubic feet of volume. The Ark was not the biggest ship ever built.
The point is that the Ark was more than BIG ENOUGH!

"And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures  ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS
the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals,
EACH ACCORDING TO ITS KIND

10 X's in Genesis Ch. 1 God repeats the phrase "according to their kinds". He's not just trying to fill space like students do in an essay that requires a certain number of words. When God repeats something, it means it's very important and that we should remember it and apply it.
